The saying is “It doesn’t matter how you start, it’s about how you finish” I really have not ever totally believed in that just for the record. Sunday we got off to a horrible start and were not able to recover in any phase of the game. Another saying is “You learn more from losses than you do in wins” This one I don’t totally agree with either but I do believe that you can learn a great deal in losses. In this game we learned that with a bad start emotionally it can affect your team as well as the outcome. I was extremely satisfied with my team in the way that we continued to compete and play hard. Being down 19 going into the 4th quarter, we cut the lead down to single digits and put ourselves in position to win the game. We were not able to come any closer than 7 but the fight and effort was apparent. As long as we compete, play hard and give 100% effort we will always be in position to win. That saying is mine and that’s what I learned from this game about this team. Go Lions!
