There wasn´t a day or hour that went by that I didn´t have the guys in my thoughts. I was nervous some days and other days I was just excited and eager for the outcome. It meant so much to me because I knew the experience for them would be priceless and something they would never forget. Our support for them comes from the love and appreciation they show and seeing them happy and successful at the end of the day. I´m so happy for their achievements this past week. You guys made all of us proud. I look forward to seeing you and celebrating your silver medal from the Special Olympics World Games 2015 ! Congratulations Bulls!

Raineman
Es gab nicht einen Tag oder Stunde die verging, ohne dass das Team in meinen Gedanken gewesen wäre. An manchen Tagen war ich nervös an anderen einfach aufgeregt und begierig zu wissen wie sie abschneiden. Es bedeutete mir so viel weil ich wusste, dass die Erfahrung für sie unbezahlbar sein würde und etwas was sie niemals vergessen. Unsere Unterstützung für Play2gether kommt von der Liebe und Würdigung die uns von diesen Sportlern gezeigt wird und sie letztendlich glücklich und erfolgreich zu sehen. Ich bin so glücklich über deren Leistungen in der letzten Woche. Jungs, ihr habt uns alle sehr stolz gemacht. Ich freue mich darauf euch zu sehen und mit euch eure Silbermedaille von den Special Olympics World Games 2015 zu feier ! Gratuliere Euch Bulls !

Los Angeles war eine super Standortbestimmung da national Vergleichsmöglichkeiten fehlten. Gegen Peru, Spanien, Namibia … zu spielen war eine große Herausforderung. Diese Erfahrungen bringen uns sehr viele Informationen für die Weiterentwicklung des Play2gether Teams.
Abseits des Courts konnten wir den Zusammenhalt im Team weiter stärken und unvergessliche Eindrücke sammeln. Wir besuchten ein Baseballspiel und konnten mit Unterstützung des Raineman 6 Teams auch private Touren organisieren. Für manche Sportler war es der erste Flug überhaupt und verbunden mit einem Ausflug nach Hollywood, Venice Beach und einem Besuch eines Drew League Spieles (Danke an Mike Coffin und Ex NBA Spieler Tony Farmer) wird diese Reise sicher zu einer bleibenden Erinnerung für alle. Gekrönt mit einer olympischen Silbermedaille können wir voll Stolz nach Hause reisen.
Los Angeles was great to figure out sportswise as a country where we were internationally. To play against Peru, Spain, Namibia … was a great challenge. These experiences give us a lot of information for the advancement of the Play2gether Team.
Other than the basketball side we saw were we could improve in areas like team spirit and creating unforgettable impressions. We were able to attend a Baseball game and with the support of the Raineman 6 Team we were given the opportunity to go on private tours as well. For some of the guys it was the first flight in their lives and combined with a trip to Hollywood, Venice Beach and attending a Drew League Game (thanks to Mike Coffin and ex NBA player Tony Farmer) this journey will remain in our memories forever. Crowned with an Olympic Silver medal we can return home full of pride.

Zuerst möchte ich mich beim Raineman 6 Team bedanken, dass wir so viel abseits der Spiele unternehmen konnten. Ich bin froh, dass ich überhaupt mitfliegen konnte. Los Angeles war immer ein Traum von mir – Danke Andi Schenk ! Es hat mir die Augen geöffnet zu sehen wie die Sportler hier kämpfen. Ich habe vollsten Respekt für jeden der hier her kommt. 2 Tage hatte ich Heimweh aber ich habe viele Freunde gewonnen und sie nehmen mich so wie ich bin. Es war das Schönste als wir in der großen Halle gespielt haben und obwohl wir aus Österreich sind, haben uns alle angefeuert – ich dachte es war ein Traum aber es war Wirklichkeit.
Danke an alle Sponsoren und vor allem an das Raineman 6 Team dass ihr geholfen habt dass wir hierher nach L.A. kommen konnten. Danke an Shawn Ray dass Du täglich an uns gedacht und uns geschrieben und motiviert hast und danke an Sabine Krakora für diese schönen Wochen hier.

First I wanna thank the Raineman 6 team for providing and organizing so many activities outside the basketball competitions. I´m happy that I could come here. Los Angeles was always a dream of mine – Thank´s Andi Schenk ! It opened my eyes to be here and see how the Athletes are fighting. I show my deepest respect for everyone who came here. 2 days I was homesick but I made so many new friends and it touched me deeply that they took and accepted me as I am. The greatest feeling was to play in the big arena and although we are from Austria, everyone cheered for us – I thought it was dream but it was reality.
Thanks to all the sponsors and especially to the Raineman 6 team, because you helped us to come here to L.A. Thanks to Shawn Ray that you thought on us and wrote us daily and motivated us and thanks to Sabine Krakora for the wonderful weeks here.

Es war eine große Ehre für mich (und die anderen Unified Partner) überhaupt hier mitspielen zu dürfen – danke Andi Schenk !
Es hat mir generell gefallen so viele Leute aus so Ländern zu treffen. Mannschaftsintern war es anfangs etwas schwierig auf dem Spielfeld aber auch abseits davon bis jeder wirklich seine Rolle und Verantwortung herausfand aber nach kurzer Zeit haben wir uns eigentlich sowohl am Spielfeld als auch in der übrigen Zeit wirklich gut verstanden. Es ist toll so viel Unterstützung vom Raineman 6 Team zu bekommen. Danke an alle für die unvergessliche Zeit hier bei den Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles 2015.

Generally it was great to meet so many people from different countries. Inside the team it was a little bit difficult at the beginning on the court as well as aside until every one of us could figure out his responsibility and role but after a short while we got along with each other really well. It was great to get so much support from the Raineman 6 team. Thank´s to everyone for the unforgettable time here at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles 2015.
Sabine (Raineman 6 Team)
Die Zeit in Los Angeles war unbeschreiblich. Es war eine Ehre das Play2gether Team zu begleiten, kämpfen und siegen zu sehen. Soviel Zeit mit den Jungs zu verbringen gibt einem einen komplett anderen Blickwinkel über die außergewöhnliche Leistung die sie bringen. Generell all die Athleten der verschiedenen Nationen zu treffen und zu sehen wie sie alles geben, die Energie zu spüren, die sie mit ihrem Lachen verbreiten, und die Freude am Sport die man ihnen ansieht, werden mir immer in Erinnerung bleiben. Sie verdienen unseren größten Respekt und ich freue mich, dass wir diese Sportler mit eurer Hilfe so gut unterstützen können und ihnen zu unvergesslichen Momenten verhelfen konnten.
The time in Los Angeles was unforgettable. It was an honor to accompany the Play2gether Team and see them fight and win. To spend so much time with the guys gave me a completely different view about their extraordinary achievements. To meet the athletes from all different nations and see how they give it all with so much passion, to feel their energy which they spread around with their smile and the joy they show in sports, will remain in my memory forever. They have our deepest respect and I´m glad that we can support these athletes along with your help and continue to create unforgettable moments.
